The Minister of Land and Housing, VÃctor Filloy, announced today the content of the project relating to the acquisition or lease of homes, which the Council of Ministers approved last week. The intention is to create a housing stock for rent at an affordable price through buildings that do not have a specific use today, such as hotels that have stopped working, and in this sense there is already a budget of 19 million of euros, of which 11 are for purchase and 8 for lease. Filloy has stated that the creation of this park will not solve the problem of housing, but it must be launched as another tool to work in this area.
As Filloy explained, there are several building owners who have taken an interest in this initiative. The stipulated deadline for receiving proposals ends on December 15 and subsequently the Government's experts will assess the properties. Finally, the owners will have to present their offer, which may not exceed the appraisal made
in any case.
