Free parking for Margineda residents


The Margineda parking area will be regulated by parking meters in a few weeks, although residents will have a free resident parking badge for each vehicle they have, as reported by the common. The aim of this pilot test, consisting of enabling the space as a payment zone, is to "dissuade those citizens who do not live in Margineda but who park there for days as it is a white zone". This practice makes it difficult for the residents of this residential area, which has a large deficit of parking spaces, to park their vehicles, a problem of which the municipality is "aware" and that is why it promoted this Thursday evening a meeting with the residents.

The municipality of Andorra la Vella proposed to the residents as a possible solution to enable a new 50-space car park on communal land next to the driving test field located on Avinguda d'Enclar, with preferential service for neighbors of the Margineda. The attendees at the meeting, around fifty, preferred to reject the project because access on foot via the Camí de la Callissa could be difficult, according to the communal corporation.

The residents of La Margineda will soon receive a communication to inform them where they can pick up their resident cards which will include the registration number of the vehicles and the start date of the rotation zone.
